First CAMBC Camping trip held at Lake Sherando Recreation Area.

By July, volunteer trailwork hours exceeded trailwork hours from any previous year! So far, 541 trailwork hours! Projects included Whetstone Ridge Brushing with SMBC, McIntire Park additions with RTF, Eagle Scout reroute at Walnut Creek, opening an overgrown connector trail at Sherando, and others.
Officially incorporated and filed for 501(c)(3) status.
Acquisition of new trail tools, including an awesome Stihl Brusher.
Increased membership, 77 members to date.

Maintained existing relationships with landowners and cycling-related organizations in the local community such as Albemarle County Parks and Rec department. Including, encouraging a comprehensive plan review on the Preddy Creek property by Albemarle Count Parks and Rec. to help determine suitability of a county park and new trail system on the property.
Participated in camping weekend to raise funds and awareness for a state wide mountain bike organization, Virginia Mountain Bike Association (VMBA).

Won a $500 Grant sponsored by IMBA
and Clif Bar to build a new informational kiosk at the Walnut Creek
Park trailhead.
Hosted the 3rd Annual
Wild Ride at Sherando Recreation Area in the George Washington
National Forest.
Hosted the 2nd Annual
Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at Walnut Creek Park in Albemarle
County.
Conducted regular trail
maintenance at Walnut Creek Park, Sherando Lake Recreational Area,
and Observatory Hill riding venues (~200 hours as of early November
2005).
Volunteered to do trail
maintenance as part of the Rivanna Trail Foundation's National
Trails Day event.

with landowners and cycling-related organizations in the local
community such as Albemarle County Parks and Rec department.

riding opportunities with private and public landowners at venues
such as Byrom Park (pending), Totier Creek Park, and Blue Ridge

Participated in ongoing
discussions for protecting some exceptional National Forest riding
in Virginia as parts of Scenic Areas (which allow mountain bikes)
rather than Wilderness Areas (which prohibit mountain bikes).
Received USFS chainsaw
certification for two members.
