2010/03/07 Walnut Creek Trailwork 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Walnut Creek (PayDirt*) Directions from Charlottesville: 1)Take Route 29 South about 6 miles from Cville; 2) Turn left (east) onto Route 708 (Red Hill Road); 3) Go to top of twisting hill and turn right onto Route 631 (Old Lynchburg Rd.); 4)The park is 0.5 mile on the left. Meet at the cycling lot (lower lot: first lot encountered after entering the park).
IMPORTANT: Wear waterproof boots and work gloves. Dress for the weather. Bring water and any trimmer tools or folding saws you may have. We also need anyone who has a chainsaw to help out. We'll have the chainsaw CAMBC owns and looking for qualified operator(s) with appropriate protective gear.

2010/03/06 Preddy Creek Trailwork with ACPR 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Preddy Creek (PayDirt*) Directions: 1) 29 North towards Ruckersville. 2) Turn RIGHT onto Burnley Station Road (4 miles beyond Airport Rd). 3) Follow Burnley Station Rd. for 2.2 miles. Meet in the field on the left.
Trailwork tasks: We expect to clear blowdown and debris from the harsh winter. Please bring water and wear waterproof boots and gloves. If you have them please bring trimmers - pruners - folding saws - bow saws - and/or chainsaw with protective safety gear.

2010/01/31 (1/27/2010: CANCELLED due to poor weather forecast) Whetstone Ridge Trailwork 8 a.m. Whetstone Ridge Meet at Bodo's at 8am to caravan to the trail. Don't bring bikes unless you want to ride AFTER trail work.
2010/01/23 CAMBC Club Meeting and Ride 1 p.m. (click this link for more details) 1404 Westwood Rd (Charlottesville) CAMBC Club Meeting at Dave Stackhouse's house. The meeting will be held first with a ride to follow for any takers (weather dependent). Directions: Take the Rugby Ave and/or McIntire Park exit off the 250 bypass. Dave's house is on the corner of Rugby Ave. and Westwood Rd. immediately adjacent to the bypass and McIntire Park.
2010/01/17 (1/14/2010: CANCELLED due to poor weather forecast) Sherando (Torrey Ridge) Trailwork 8 a.m. Torrey Ridge Meet at Bodo's at 8am to caravan to the trail. Bring bikes (we'll bob tools and ride from section-to-section that need brushing the most)
2010/01/09 Rivanna Trail Foundation January Work Party 8:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Rivanna Trail Join this month's work party leaders (Diana Foster and Jay Endahl) to re-open a section of trail at the end of Market St. Details: Meet at the RTF Tool Shed location on Earhart Street at 8:45 AM. Earhart St. is located off Emmet St. (south of the 250 Bypass and across Emmet from Bodo's and Morton Drive). See the RTF website for a map. Tools will be gathered and then caravaning or carpooling to the worksite. Work will be from about 9:00 until 11:30.
