The wait is over… Biscuit Run Park opens soon and brings the opportunity to BUILD NEW TRAILS!

CAMBC and Albemarle County Parks and Recreation are excited to collaborate to get the region its newest trail system at Biscuit Run Park. CAMBC has committed to fundraise and build a Downhill and Skills area with a variety of features:

  • three progressive jump lines
  • two “sidewinder” type downhill trails
  • a dual slalom course
  • a “mini” pump track

This will be a total of approximately one and a half miles of brand new gravity focused trails! CAMBC has a proposal from Sam Skidmore of Rugged Trail Company to start building this winter ideally, and aim to have the trails rideable in Spring of 2025.

To break ground at Biscuit Run and construct this new trail network, CAMBC is aiming to raise $80,000 by December 1st. To jumpstart the fundraising effort, the CAMBC Board will allocate $25,000 to the club’s treasury with the hopes of reaching our goal faster. In addition, we have received a generous matching donation from Blue Pallet Events for the first $20,000 that is raised from the CAMBC membership.

How can you help make this a reality? Please consider making a monetary donation to CAMBC, to complete our goal of building a Downhill and Skills area at Biscuit Run a reality! We are so grateful for the impact that this community has previously donated to former projects like Heyward Community Forest, and we are THRILLED to open yet another iconic section of trail in Charlottesville with your continued support!
