SERS: Sherando

May 3, 2014 @ 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Sherando Lake State Park
3497 Mount Torrey Road
George Washington National Forest, Lyndhurst, VA 22952
Jason Hiser
SERS: Sherando @ Sherando Lake State Park | Lyndhurst | Virginia | United States
Where: Sherando, parking area just in front of the gate.

What:   Ride yo’ bike!
When:   9am, ride start

Why:     Survival of the (bike) species.

Carpool:  7:45 for breakfast, 8:05 departure.

Who:     Brandon and anyone else who can harass him into showing up.

How:      I don’t know, I think I’ve carried this metaphor too far.

Anyhow, we’ll be climbing white rock to the parkway, and downhilling Torry, Slacks, Whiterock in a giant lollipop ride.  Expect 3+ hours of rolling with a long, gentle climb, and a whole lotta rocks on the downhill.    An extra tube is recommended, so is an extra 5psi in those tires.  A tire boot wouldn’t hurt ya!

This is the last “short” ride of the series for the year.  Time estimates will be going up for future rides.  Get your pedal on and get ready!
