What: Come assemble 1000s of bicycles for local kids.
Who: Everyone!! We need mechanics, but we especially need some support moving bikes around, breaking down boxes, and keeping things running smoothly.
Where: Go to the Earlysville Business Park (385 Reas Ford Rd in Earlysville), and then go to the back of the complex. Look for the warehouse with the giant dumpster right by the door.

The annual Toy Lift is December 4th this year and we are ramping up for a huge bike build in the days preceding. Thanks to all the fundraising of the Charlottesville Racing Club and other clubs through the Spin-a-thon we are able to purchase $12,000 more in kid bikes this year than last!!!
The build will hopefully start December 3rd for all the bikes. We will be using the same location in Earlysville as last year and will hopefully see the first trucks arrive on Wednesday for our construction efforts to begin. As everyone knows from years past that has done this–it is a huge undertaking and we will need volunteers for all aspects of it!
Unboxing, removing packaging, bicycle build, airing tires, parking bikes, and more. There is literally something for every skill level of bike rider, enthusiast, and family member to help with. Never built a bike before but want to learn–we will teach you.
Please ‘save the date’. Let me know if you are interested in helping out, and look for more emails as we get closer to the actual time and can confirm when the bikes are arriving.
I have created a Facebook event page where we will share up more information and pictures of the awesome that this event is. Even if you are not on Facebook you can click the link below and view the information and learn more.
