CAMBC & the City of Charlottesville are excited to announce the next chapter of Heyward Community Forest. The expansion will be a mix of intermediate flow trail, as well as advanced downhill & unidirectional trails.

In the Fall of 2023, CAMBC will break ground on the first mountain bike specific trails in the city, located on the slopes of Song Mountain at Heyward next to Ragged Mountain Reservoir. This user experience will be the first of it’s kind in the City of Charlottesville Parks & Recreation park system.

To kick off this next chapter of trails, Public Lands has generously donated $15,000 to get the building started in the Fall.

CAMBC will need to raise $35,000 by September 30th to build the next chapter of trails at Heyward Community Forest at Song Mountain.

Your monetary donation will directly support the building of YOUR new trails, in addition to further advocacy of mountain biking & future trails throughout the Charlottesville region.
