Preddy Creek
Preddy Creek is the newest set of trails in Albemarle County. Preddy Creek is situated on 571 acres of wilderness north east of Charlottesville. Upon dedication on May 19th, 2011, the park had 8.6 miles of multipurpose trail used by hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers. The number of trails continues to grow in Preddy Creek Park, with a strong emphasis on smooth flowing single track over rolling terrain.
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Preddy Creek caters to mountain bikers of nearly every skill level. The “Preddy Creek Trail” loop is a great place to start for Beginners with its smooth tread surface, but also presents a challenge for more advanced riders with quick climbs and descents that twist between the trees. An expert loop is currently under construction. Once complete, these expert trails will contain more technical features including log rides, elevated bridges, sweeping berms, rock gardens, and other features suggested by CAMBC members and supporters.
